Elizabeth Poole,I.S.V.A. and Lindsey Braune, B.A., R.I.C.S., are joint directors of The Cotswold Auction Company. Elizabeth trained in Fine Arts Valuation at Southampton Institute and qualified in 1988. Lindsey read modern languages at St. Annes College, Oxford University, before training with Capes Dunn and Co. in Manchester and qualifying as a Chartered Art and Antiques Surveyor with the RICS in 1984. Elizabeth and Lindsey ran Hobbs & Chambers auction business from the mid 1980s until 1998, purchasing the business and forming The Cotswold Auction Company in August 1998.
Douglas Chomé Wilson: Paintings expert,joined the company following ten years experience in the London salerooms of Sotheby`s,Bonhams and Phillips.He subsequently worked as an independent consultant and dealer in the West Country and was solely responsible for the cataloguing of pictures from the exciting estate of the Cheltenham collector extraordinaire, Ronnie Summerfield.
Bob Short, F.R.I.C.S, has a wealth of experience and has been practising in Gloucester for over 45 years. He is a well known local professional who ran sales in his own practice since the 1970s.
Charles Woodward: M.I.V.A. Consultant and Valuer, was responsible for the valuation department at Philips, Bath, for six years, together with their Fine Furniture sales. He subsequently ran Bonhams Bath office from 1991 to 2000. Charles specialises in Furniture, Silver, Ceramics and Pictures. Charles is also an accredited valuer for Hiscox Insaurance.
Catriona Aspray B.A. , R.I.C.S.Consultant. Catriona took B.A. Hon`s at Southampton before gaining experience with auctioneers in Lincolnshire and Gloucestershire.Her special interest is in detailed research on collections.Catriona is also a chartered valuer.
Rebecca Gilbert M.A. ,Saleroom Manager.Following her B.A. Hons. at U.W.I.C.and masters dissertation on the effects of poaching endangered species for the illegal arts market trade,Rebecca joined the company in 2011.Her previous experience was with Chorleys and Dominic Winter auctioneers
Jenny Low : specialist consultant in antiquarian books. Jenny gained extensive valuation and sales experience with Sothebys in their South Africa office.Jenny also advises on vintage textiles and fabrics.
Trudi Forrest is responsible for auction accounts and assists with secretarial work. She has a keen interest in and knowledge of twentieth century ceramics.

Hilary McDermott is Auction Administrator and Office Manager in Cirencester, responsible for pre and post sales administration.In her spare time Hilary deals with enquiries and valuations.

On sale day they have their work cut out, showing up to 1000 lots as they are sold and handing them out to purchasers.
