The sale of an important, historic WWII medal group and logbook will be televised on the new television programme “Trading Histories” debuting on the Yesterday Channel (Freeview Channel 19 / Sky 537 / Virginmedia 245 / Freesat 159) on Wednesday 16th November at 7.00pm.
The show will feature the story of the group and its previous owner, Frederick Cecil Davis, one of the crew of the Catalina airplane that spotted the Bismarck, leading to its eventual sinking on 27 May 1941. As well as details of the medal group, the show is expected to feature the sale itself and The Cotswold Auction Company team, especially saleroom manager Olli Halford (seen in the trailer below).
