Owners of family treasures in Nailsworth and Stroud are being urged to find out whether they might be sitting on a fortune.
The Cotswold Auction Company is holding a free antiques valuation morning at Perry Bishop estate agency in Nailsworth at the end of May.
Auction company director Lindsey Braune will be on hand to give expert valuations on the full range of antiques and collectables.
Items suitable for valuation include silver and jewellery, watches, ceramics and glass, pictures, stamps and coins, toys and models, and general collectables.
Visitors are also welcome to bring photos of items of furniture to be assessed, though are advised not to bring the furniture with them.
Lindsey said: “People often have all sorts of unusual and unexpected treasures tucked away at home, or family heirlooms they have always wondered about. They might be curious about their value or already have considered selling at auction.
“This valuation morning is a fantastic opportunity to meet an experienced auctioneer and valuer, and to get a professional assessment of value.
“You never know, you might be sitting on a fortune!”
The event will take place from 10am to 1pm on Friday, May 31st at Perry Bishop’s Nailsworth office in Fountain Street.
